The Isle of Man has added Palestine Action to its list of proscribed organisations, giving full legal effect on the Island to the UK’s 5 July 2025 ban. The Department of Home Affairs maintains the Manx list by reference to Schedule 2 of the UK Terrorism Act 2000, and the IOM Government’s published listing of terrorist organisations now includes Palestine Action, Maniacs Murder Cult and the Russian Imperial Movement.

Palestine Action was proscribed by the UK Government subsequent to the organisation’s attack on the British military.

The legal mechanism was straightforward: Section 2 of the Isle of Man’s Anti-Terrorism and Crime Act 2003 treats any organisation listed in the UK schedule as proscribed in Manx law. Once an organisation is proscribed, the Island’s offences regime applies – even though the Isle of Man Government’s updated listing was not published until July 18. It is a criminal offence to belong or profess to belong to a proscribed organisation, and it is an offence to invite support for it, or publicly wear or display articles that signal support.

Since proscription in early July, the UK enforcement picture has been immediate and forceful: London Police have reported over 1,500 arrests, and the Crown Prosecution Service says 138 people have been charged for showing support for the proscribed group since July. These cases range from signage and slogans to alleged organisational roles.
